2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn – Delivers What Buyers Want

In the beginning of 2018 Ram has introduced the new Laramie Longhorn trim level on its all-new 2019 Ram 1500 pickup. As expected the new Laramie Longhorn is similar with the outgoing truck, having a western-themed luxury trim filled with high-end materials. This new model was design to compete against the Ford F-150’s King Ranch and he Chevrolet Silverado’s High Country trims, which is why it goes above and beyond with real barn wood accent trim, full leather seats, brushed-nickel badging and Ram’s new 12-inch Uconnect touchscreen.

The Laramie Longhorn trim level for the 2018 Ram 1500 lineup is best known for how it perfectly combines a luxurious interior with a rugged, powerful, capable and dependable exterior. Wherever you look, whatever you touch, the Laramie Longhorn is filled with more craftsman-like details, including wood surfaces and 100 percent full-grain leather seats, than any other truck in the segment.” The next-generation of Ram trucks debuted in 2018’s North American International Auto Show in Detroit with technological advancements like a mild hybrid powertrain.

2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn Release date and Price

Ram’s outgoing trucks were underpriced compared to the Ford and Chevy. Now, we can expect to see a marked increase in pricing for the new 2019 Laramie Longhorn. The 2018 Ram 1500 started at $27,095. With every option box checked on the 2018 Laramie Longhorn the price hovers around $55,000. This is why we can expect the 2019 model’s pricing to expend into the low $60,000s. However this are just speculations, as Ram has not released the official pricing for the new model. As for the release date, there is still no official communication about this either, but we’re hoping it won’t be long until the new Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn will be on the market.

The design of Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn

The new 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn Edition has 20-inch wheels but you can also go with 22 as an option. The RV-match brown two-tone option as a color, which debuted on the outgoing Ram Laramie, appears to be the preferred color by Ram. It gives the trailer a unified and customized appearance.

However there are several paint colors available. On the exterior we can find a chrome on the grille, tow hooks, bumpers and mirror caps. Ram’s upgraded LED headlight and taillights come standard with the high-class trim.

The interior

Ryan Negode, Ram’s interior designer, was inspired by antique pocket watches, hand-tooled leather cowboy boots and a horseman’s saddle. We can see all this in the details within the cabin which are as authentic as they look. The leather seats are 100 percent full-grain natural leather, the wood trim is really wood and the metal trim is really metal.

The new 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn has buckled satchel backs as map pockets on the front seatbacks, just the Laramie before it. An alligator skin pattern on the center console and part of the seats accents, the southwestern inspiration on the door panels and the contrast stitching on just about every leather surface are part of the details. The color choices for the new Laramie Longhorn are Mountain Brown or Light Mountain Brown and Black or Cattle an.

Both of them have the same wood and metal accent pieces and they come with heated and vented front seas. Of course, there is also the class-exclusive option which you can choose to have heated and vented rear seats as well. The cabin has warm glow at night offered by standard accent lighting.

Under the hood

The power in the new Laramie Longhorn comes from an updated 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 and 5.7 liter Hemi V-8 engines mated up to an updated eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive comes standard and optional you can choose 4WD. Being properly equipped the truck can pull 12,750 pounds, even with its multi-link coil spring rear suspension. A lot of credit for this goes to the new frame and the optional next-generation air suspension system.
